GETTING AROUND
Subway:
Greater Cairo has a decent subway system and one of only two in Africa, with 3 interconnecting lines and 64 stations in total, the nearest Subway station to the hotel is "Saad Zaghloul" station in line 1 and the nearest to college is "Al Sayeda Zeinab" station in line 1.
Walk:
You can take a walk from your accommodation to Kasr Al Ainy (1.0 Km) in 5 mins across "Faculty of Medicine bridge" and enjoy the views of Morning Cairo and the Nile.
Taxi:
The New Cairo Taxi is available all across Cairo, although there are Taximeters in cars, but drivers may not operate them and charge you an estimated higher price.
Public Buses:
There is a public bus system that offers several lines of service at different prices.
There is the standard full-sized bus service run by the Cairo Transport Authority (1 LE)and(2 LE) and minibuses run by companies subcontracted by the government (2.5LE)
Other transport services includes the Micro-buses, privately run by individuals. The Micro-buses are the cheapest form of transport in Cairo, yet not very reliable.
